"Don't let what you can't do, get in the way of what you can do," advised Mary Ellen Jenkins of North Oaks Hospital, speaker for the November 14 Gardenette meeting held at the Strawberry Board building.
Jenkins spoke on garden safety and easy ways to keep limber and in balance whether a person is active or chair bound. Hostesses for the club meeting were Marilyn Wright, Sandra Haro and Anna Poland.
President Sonya Avery thanked Jamie LeBlanc for sharing one of her raffle prize of a very large Minnie Mouse doll with Emelia Folse, a young person from Avery's church. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit a Ponchatoula High School senior active in Future Farmers of America program.
Gardenettes are members of District VI, Louisiana Garden Club Federation Inc., Deep South Garden Clubs Inc., and National Garden Clubs Inc.
