Gardenettes place first for Publicity Pressbook and received cash awards for their website and Facebook page at the Louisiana Garden Club Federation Inc. held at L'Auberge Casino in Lake Charles April 16-17. The club also received three other awards for Arbor Day, Special Conservation and Garden Club Achievement.
Representing the Gardenettes from District VI were incoming president Susan Pizani, current president Vicky Fannaly, Marilyn Wright and Sunday Hanson. The club belongs to Deep South Garden Clubs Inc. and National Garden Clubs Inc.
Founded in 1942, the club recently celebrated it's forty-second anniversary and forty-first year in the Federation.

Gardenette president, Vicky Fannaly, presented a workshop at the 87th Annual Louisiana Garden Club Federation Inc. State Convention in Vidalia LA, held April 18-19, 2023. Fannaly is a member of Belle Oaks as well as Gardenettes. Both clubs are members of District VI, Deep South Garden Clubs Inc. and National Garden Clubs Inc.

1st Place Publicity Pressbook - Small Clubs

Former Gardenette president Kathy Bedenbaugh and current president accept the honors for the club's Publicity Pressbook from the Deep South Garden Clubs Inc. at their annual convention, March 8-10 at the Airport Hilton in Kenner LA.
The club placed first in the small club division for the six state competition. Gardenettes are members of District VI, Louisiana Garden Club Federation Inc. Deep South and National Garden Clubs Inc.
This is Gardenettes second time placing first in two years. Representing the Gardenettes at the Louisiana Garden Club Federation Inc. Convention were Vicky Fannaly (standing) and Sunday Hanson (seated). The club received five state and one Deep South Garden Club Inc. awards at the Baton Rouge event April 25-27.
Gardenettes received a Deep South Garden Club Inc. first place for their Publicity Press Book at the Louisiana Garden Club Federation Inc. (LGCF Inc.) Convention held in Baton Rouge, April 25-27.Groups are members of National Garden Clubs Inc. Representing the local club were Sunday Hanson and Vicky Fannaly.
Five state awards were received including a cash prize for the club webpage, a state first place for publicity press books, a gold ribbon with seal for Garden Club Achievement and certificates for Arbor Day Programs and Special Conservation.
A life membership in the state federation was presented to Vicky Fannaly by Linda Ryan. This was in appreciation for Fannaly's work as registrar for summer boards. Fannaly gave a workshop presentation on the state webpage as part of the program's events. The LGCF Inc. is composed of 74 clubs with over 2,000 members.
