All club members are invited to submit entries showing plants that attract birds and butterflies for this contest. You may change your photos any time during the year. Each photo will be numbered for anonymity. Scientific name of the plant and bird or butterfly pictured must accompany entry; all photos must be taken by the member and not the work of anyone else. Pictures do not have to be recent shots. Contest ends April 1, 2015.
Photos can be emailed to Sandra Haro or Vicky Fannaly for posting on the web page. If you do not have email service, you may mail in the picture.
Judging will be conducted by a Louisiana Garden Club Federation Inc. member who has experience in garden club procedure. Winners will be announced at the banquet and given a prize for first, second and third places. We hope you will enjoy bird and butterfly watching and photographing.

Swallowtail caterpillars (Papilio polyxenes) that are on my Meyer lemon(Citrus × meyeri) eating. There are three right now. Another Swallowtail was flying around trying to lay her eggs. The Swallowtail comes back to where they were born to lay their eggs the following year. - Kathy Bedenbaugh
