Gardenettes hosted the annual joint meeting of area garden clubs with an English Tea, Thursday February 15 at the Knights of Columbus hall in Ponchatoula. Attending was Nancy Delahaye, District VI Director, Louisiana Garden Club Federation Inc. (LGCF).
Clubs represented were Hammond Garden Club, Belle Oaks Garden Club (Hammond), Stem & Stamen Garden Club (Amite), and Home and Garden Club (Franklinton). All are members of Deep South Garden Clubs Inc. and National Garden Clubs Inc. as well as LGCF.
Kerri Blache a tea sommelier with Vianne's Teas, an online company, gave a description of specialty teas and showed different tea accessories for serving the perfect cup. A large selection of raffle items were offered courtesy of local merchants.
Gardenettes attending included president Anna Poland, Liz Anderson, Margaret Bailey, Cricket Ayala, Dottie Boudreaux, Margaret Hardin, Carol Borgstede, Cynthia Cummer, Diane Dufour, Vicky Fannaly, Sandra Haro, Karen Moran, Sonya Avery, Flora Nelson, Ellen Pusey, Pat Walsh, Marilyn Wright, Joan Morse, Liz Sanderson. Materials for the floral decorations were provided by Flora and Jack Nelson.
